Check out our Galaxy Z Fold 4 vs Galaxy S22/S22+ camera test

Samsung has finally brought a much-needed change in camera specs to its flagship foldable lineup with the Galaxy Z Fold 4 this year. The big upgrades are the switch to a 50-megapixel primary camera from a 12MP one, along with 3x optical zoom and 30x digital zoom capability.

Doesn’t count the 4-megapixel under-display camera on the Z Fold 4’s foldable screenThe device has almost identical camera specifications to the Galaxy S22 and Galaxy S22+. This means that on paper these devices should capture images and videos of a similar quality, but is this the case in the real world?

That’s the question we wanted to answer in our Galaxy Z Fold 4 vs Galaxy S22/S22+ camera test, which you can watch in our new YouTube video embedded below. Spoiler alert: the results we got from these devices are indeed similar, but there are also differences that may surprise you, and we suggest you press that play button to see for yourself.

We also recently compared the cameras of the Galaxy Z Fold 4 with the cameras of the Galaxy S22 Ultra, which you can check out at this link. And if you’re wondering how the cameras on the Z Fold 4 compare to those on the Galaxy Z Flip 4, Samsung’s other new foldable device launched this year, here.
